A RAISED MEMORY FOR A DESK OR WALL
Custom Relief Plaque
A relief plaque lifts the subject of your photo off a flat panel, like a small carved picture. It suits buildings, patterns, faces and places that are best seen straight from the front.

THE IDEA
A photo you can feel the shape of
The subject is sculpted in shallow relief on a flat rectangular or rounded panel with a simple border and a completely flat back. Because it is viewed from the front, a relief keeps more of a scene together than a free-standing figure: two friends under a temple roof, the front of a house, a tiled doorway.
Fine patterns, small text and logos become a few bold shapes and flat matte colors, which is what makes a hand-painted relief read clearly from across a room.
Good subjects for a relief
Straight-on photos of buildings and doorways, tiles, mosaics and textiles, and portraits of one to a few people. The concept image shows the plaque on a small easel on a desk or on a light wall above a shelf.
